Jack Fabby will compete in the Road class of the Michelin Clio Cup Series this season after signing a deal to race a Jade Developments Renaultsport 197 with headline backing from Intrepid UK.
The 16 year old made his Clio Series debut in the 2015 season finale at Silverstone and made an immediate impression with a pair of third place finishes.
Impressed by that performance, as well as his work promoting the brand at the Autosport International Show in January, Intrepid have continued to back him for the new season.
It continues as an association with the Italian karting manufacturer that stretches back over five years through Fabby’s karting career and now his move full-time in cars.
Fabby will remain with reigning Road champions Jade Developments for 2016, with a title challenge in the Road Series his target before a future graduation into the Race Series.
“I am really happy to confirm my partnership with Intrepid UK in my first full season competing in cars. I know that I am with a winning team in Jade Developments and Silverstone last year was just a taster,” said Fabby.
“I was in at the deep end, having only driven the Clio once before that meeting, but I could feel immediately that they had given me a good car. It’s now up to me to get the best out of it. I feel confident and hungry for good results.”
