The JC Race Teknik team have announced that they will participate in both the Swedish-based RallyX Noridic and the RX Lites championships in the 2016 season.

The Swedish team will field a Norwegian duo where Thomas Bryntesson and Joachim Hvaal will compete in a full roster of events in both championships.

The teams’ first challenge will take place at Skovade from April 30 to May 1 where the team will tackle the opening round of the RallyX Nordic championship.  Just a week later, the team will travel to Hockenheim taking with them Swede William Nilsson for the RX Lites championship.

Joel Christoffersson, the team principal of the JC Race Teknik team is looking forward to see how his ‘strong line-up’ of drivers fair in 2016.

“I am very happy that we have a strong line-up for this year, especially with Joachim and Thomas doing both championships.

“William had a strong season in 2015 and he can be on the podium this year. Sondre was a surprise in his debut in RallyX On Ice and after seeing what he can do in his first test in ‘normal’ conditions, for sure he will not disappoint anyone in Hockenheim.

Bryntesson, who finished third overall in the RX Lites Cup title, has victory in his sights for the 2016 season.

“It feels really good to competing in both series this year. 2015 was a really good season for me, I didn’t drive in all the races in the RX Lites Cup, but still managed to be third overall, so I hope I can do better this season.

“It’s really hard and there are a lot of good drivers, but I will do my very best. I hope to win in Skovde for sure, but I know that many others hope for the same.

I will try to drive smart this year, I know more about how everything works, so that’s a good thing I can take with me. JC Race Teknik really understand rallycross and are very professional, but we also have a lot of fun when we are at the races.”

Joachim Hvaal, who stepped on the podium regularly in 2015 also is also aiming for wins this season.

“It feels fantastic to be competing in both championships with JC Race Teknik. I have a very good feeling about this season and I think I can make it all the way with this team.

“Last season went ok, but I didn’t get the results I wanted. It was a good first year though and the pace improved all the time. I’m a lot more mentally prepared for this season, at every race my target is for victory.”

William Nilsson finished fourth overall for the Supercar Lites series in the RallyX Nordic in 2015 and is looking to make further progress in 2016.

“I will do some more testing next week and I hope I can get a good result in Skovde. My next goal is to reach the podium, and I hope to have fun for the whole season.

“I’m really looking forward to the races in Knutstorp and Grenland Motorcenter because they are totally new for me. I really like the way Joel and the team work and I think we can make really big progress this year.”
