Timerzyanov unveils 2016 WRX livery

1 Mins read

Double European Rallycross Supercar champion Timur Timerzyanov has unveiled the livery which will adorn his World RX Team Austria Ford Focus.

The Russian driver teased fans with an image of the Ford Fiesta that he will be driving in the 2016 FIA World Rallycross Championship presented by Monster Energy earlier today.

After sweeping the Supercar class in the FIA European Rallycross Championship in 2012 and 2013 with the Hansen Motorsport team, the 29-year-old has been unlucky in the World RX seasons, in 2014 he scored his best finish of second place in Canada with the Team Peugeot-Hansen squad before making the move to Olsberg MSE for the 2015 season. Two top-six finishes were the high points of the season as he finished the year in tenth position.

For 2016 he has made the move to the World RX Team Austria team alongside team owner Max Pucher and Latvian Jānis Baumanis as he looks to regain his championship winning form.

The 2016 FIA World Rallycross Championship presented by Monster Energy gets under way in eight days time as the series heads to Portugal, theCheckeredFlag.co.uk will be bringing you full coverage of the season with exclusive interviews and behind the scenes news.
