Daniil Kvyat: “I now feel much more confident”

Daniil Kvyat tests at the Circuit de Catalunya for Scuderia Toro Rosso

After making the switch back from Red Bull Racing to Scuderia Toro Rosso in between the Russian and Spanish Grand Prix, Daniil Kvyat was back on track in the STR11 on Wednesday for day two of the post-race test at the Circuit de Catalunya in a bid to learn more about the car.

The Russian driver completed 116 of the Spanish circuit, with the only disappointment being the day ending early with a Ferrari engine failure, but the podium finisher from the Chinese Grand Prix admitted it was a good day of running as he reacclimatizes himself with the Toro Rosso team.

“I think today was a very productive and good day,” revealed Kvyat. “We completed a big amount of laps, all of which are useful for both myself and the team.

“Tonight we will analyse all the data we’ve gathered and we will already be able to use this valuable information in the next events, starting with Monaco.

“Barcelona is a very good track to test at and a lot of the work we got done today will hopefully work on the car as we expect. All in all, it was quite an important day for myself today, as being able to get time in the STR11 was essential, and I now feel much more confident and ready for Monaco.”
