Sahara Force India are to launch a Fan Zone at Silverstone Woodlands Campsite during the 2016 British Grand Prix.

The team’s factory is located right across from the Silverstone circuit, making them the closest based Formula 1 team out of the eleven teams on the 2016 grid. This unique opportunity is open to all fans who are camping at Woodlands for the Grand Prix.

They will be able to meet senior members of the team, ask questions to the drivers and most of all, get a close-up look at one of the team’s F1 cars. On Saturday, their 2016 drivers Sergio Perez and Nico Hulkenberg will make an appearance on the stage.

Taking questions from fans at the campsite and around the world through Facebook Live. Force India’s partners will also make an appearance at the campsite as Kingfisher will have a beer truck and Skullcandy will provide the music.

“The British fans are some of the most passionate and knowledgeable in the world and they’ve always shown great support for Sahara Force India,” said team principal, Dr. Vijay Mallya.

“That’s why we wanted to give something back to bring them closer to the team. I’ve visited the Woodlands Campsite a few times before and I’ve always enjoyed the atmosphere.

“There’s a true festival spirit and you can see how much the fans love our sport. I’m delighted we have created the Fan Zone and I look forward to meeting all the fans once again this year.”
