A total of 11 cars will line up for the third round of the Michelin GT3 Le Mans Cup at the Red Bull Ring on July 16.
The same number of entries took part in the season opener at Imola, before a jump to 19 for the Road to Le Mans.
Former 250 cc motorcycle world champion and five time 500 cc race winner Marco Melandri is the star addition to the entry list. The 33 year old will make his GT3 race debut, driving a Lamborghini Huracan alongside Andrea Caldarelli.
Melandri last entered a car race in 2009, when he competed in the short-lived Speedcar Series against a number of ex Formula 1 stars.
Elsewhere on the entry list, 2015 FIA World Endurance Championship GTE-Am winners Victor Shaitar and Aleksey Basov will return to the GT3 Le Mans Cup. The SMP Racing pair won the Road to Le Mans in an AF Corse-labelled Ferrari 488, but decided to skip the Imola opener. They fill the gap left by the BMS Scuderia Italia squad.
AF Corse returns with two Ferrari 458s and one 488 GT3, while British team FF Corse also returns with one of the latter.
The diverse field includes an Audi R8 (Tockwith Motorsports), a Porsche 991 GT3-R (Mentos Racing) and a McLaren 650S (FFF Racing).
TF Sport’s Salih Yoluc and Euan Hankey head to Austria with a one point championship lead over the FFF Racing Lamborghini duo of Hiroshi Hamaguchi and Adrian Quaife-Hobbs.
