Hamilton looks to continue his impressive form in Germany

Hamilton's celebrating his fifth victory this season in Hungary

On the back of a brilliant victory in Hungary, Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton looks to continue his impressive form in front of the Mercedes bosses.

“It would be great to get another win there for all our Mercedes employees and for the team, too, before the summer break. The last few races have been good for me, so if I can continue that form into this weekend I’ll be in good shape”.

A win for Hamilton would be huge for his title challenge after taking the lead in the previous race. Germany hasn’t been a popular race for the three-time World Champion having only won it once way back in 2008. But Germany has played a huge part in Hamilton’s younger days when he was developing his driving.

“I raced there a lot when in my early career in the junior racing formulae and, of course, I’ve been part of the Mercedes-Benz family since way back when”.

After a year absent the German Grand Prix could really push the title towards the championship leader, if he takes his sixth win of the season. The dominance of the British driver has left Nico Rosberg wondering where his 43-point gap has disappeared too.

“The last few races have been good for me, so if I can continue that form into this weekend I’ll be in good shape”.

With six points separating the two Mercedes anything can happen in the second half of the season.
