Daventry based JRM World RX has announced that it has terminated the agreement under which British driver Liam Doran was due to compete in the remaining six rounds of the 2016 FIA World Rallycross Championship.

The termination has already come into effect, confirming that Liam’s final appearance with the team was at the World RX of Sweden event on 1-3 July 2016. The highlight of the season for the team so far was th giant killing performance at Hockenheim, which saw Doran qualify on the front row of the Supercar Final in the 1.6 litre version of the BMW Mini.

JRM World RX Team Principal, James Rumsey explained, “The agreement with the team has been terminated. This is an internal matter and no further comment will be made at this stage.”

JRM World RX is continuing with its preparations to contest the remaining rounds of the 2016 FIA World Rallycross Championship and the scheduled development programme for its MINI RX Supercar will remain unaffected. Recent news released in May confirmed that American Danny Way will contest the second half of the season, starting at the World RX of Canada next month.
