Nissany on top again in second Silverstone session

Roy Nissany was the again the pacesetter as he took the fastest time in the second Formula V8 3.5 collective test session at Silverstone to add to his first.

The Israeli set a time of 1:41.488 under the sunshine at Silverstone to lead a second consecutive Lotus 1-2, with Nissany and team-mate Rene Binder separated by 0.228 seconds.

Matthieu Vaxiviere was a further 0.098 seconds back in third place in the sole SMP Racing entry this weekend, with regular team-mate Matevos Isaakyan prioritising his GP3 Series commitments at the Hungaroring.

Championship leader Tom Dillmann was fourth quickest for AVF, just 0.018 seconds back on Vaxiviere, while Yu Kanamaru was fifth for Teo Martin Motorsport, 0.183 seconds down on Dillmann and 0.527 seconds down on Nissany.

Louis Deletraz was sixth quickest in the leading Fortec Motorsports entry with a time of 1:42.244, with the Swiss driver finishing ahead of Arden Motorsport’s Egor Orudzhev, who had a late quicker lap deleted due to exceeding track limits at turn one that would have put him sixth.

Deletraz’s and Orudzhev’s respective team-mates Pietro Fittipaldi and Aurélien Panis were eighth and ninth respectively, with Alfonso Celis Jr down in tenth for AVF, ahead of Vitor Baptista, Beitske Visser and Giuseppe Cipriani.
