Dayinsure Wales Rally GB extends partnership with GreenThumb

GreenThumb have extended their partnership with Wales Rally GB for the British round of the 2016 FIA World Rally Championship season.

The UK’s leading lawn company will focus its activities on the family-friendly RallyFest event, which will be staged at its new venue of Cholmondeley Castle in Cheshire.

Cholmondeley Castle is no stranger to motoring enthusiasts as it’ll be the first time since 1999 that the opening stage of Rally GB has taken place in England.

Managing Director of Wales Rally GB, Ben Taylor said This year’s RallyFest at Cholmondeley Castle is shaping up to a massive success. The castle and its grounds are easily accessible and the layout is perfect to host a world class event like this.

“More importantly, we are thrilled that GreenThumb’s return is further evidence of the benefits Wales Rally GB can bring, not only to the region but as a platform for local business engagement. As an event, we are proud to raise funds for local charities, bring economic benefits to the area and inspire local students; the event works at many different levels within the community to deliver hugely positive impacts.”

GreenThumb’s Managing Director David Griffiths added “GreenThumb is very proud to be part of Wales Rally GB. It is fantastic to be sponsoring such an iconic event, making our 30th milestone anniversary all the more illustrious.

Tickets are available for the Cholmondeley Castle RallyFest in association with GreenThumb for just £20, with accompanied children aged 15 and under are admitted free of charge. For more details, go onto the Wales Rally GB website.

Kuldar Sikk broke his spine and underwent emergency surgery after an accident while supporting Ott Tänak’s gravel crew during last Friday’s Central European Rally. It is unknown if he can heal up in time to be Benediktas Vanagas’ co-driver for the 2025 Dakar Rally.
