After an up and down weekend at Spa-Francorchamps, championship contender Thomas Randle heads to Snetterton. With only two rounds to go, the Australian knows that every result will be important for the development of his career and the lucrative BRDC British F3 title.
Living a mere four miles from the Snetterton circuit, the Douglas Motorsport racer has been in close proximity all year. Randle will hope to improve on his performance from the start of the season in which he was finished last in the opening race.
“I’m very excited to be racing again at my home circuit.” started Randle. “It has been four months since I’ve driven at Snetterton but I’m sure we’ll get up to speed during the two days testing prior to the event.”
“We were very quick in testing at Spa Francorchamps, and even though the qualifying didn’t go our way, we came back strong with a victory in race two from ninth on the grid.”
“I’ve had one day in the car at Donington since the last event and I’m feeling confident going into this weekend’s round.”
Last time out, BRDC F3 travelled overseas to Spa. Despite starting ninth, Randle drove through the field to win the reverse grid event. He described it as one of his highlights of the year. It was also the race in which he bump drafted teammate Enaam Ahmed, gaining him attention online.
Randle heads into the weekend, 19 points behind championship leader Ricky Collard. He currently sits third, but knows any one of the top four are still within title contention.
