Sordo and Martí target podium finish in Corsica

1 Mins read

After taking their Hyundai Motorsport New Generation i20 WRC to second place at Rally Germany, Dani Sordo and co-driver Marc Martí are looking to finish on the podium again as the FIA World Rally Championship heads to Corsica for the Tour de Corse – Rallye  de France.

“It was very important for Marc and I to finish on the podium in Germany.” said Sordo. “We have had many good results this season, but too often just outside the top-three, so it was special to get onto the podium in the team’s home rally.”

Although fully focused on the event ahead of them, the pair have been busy preparing for their own home rally in Spain which takes place just two weeks after the Tour de Corse – Rallye de France.

“We are now preparing for our own home event in Spain in a few weeks but first we have the fun challenge of Tour de Corse. I like the rally a lot. There are some beautiful stages in the mountains and lots of nice corners.

“It’s a totally different style of tarmac rally to Germany, and we’ll have to see what the weather will do. I am highly motivated and would like nothing more than to get back on the podium.” he added.
