1 Mins read

Kevin Abbring will make his fourth appearance of the 2016 FIA World Rally Championship season at the 2016 Rally Catalunya – Rally de España.

The #10 Hyundai driver will be driving the 2015-spec Hyundai i20 WRC on the mixed surface stages of Rally Catalunya.

Abbring, who makes his fourth appearance in the 2016 WRC season, has had a busy year with regards to the development of the 2017 i20 WRC, as well as competing in Corsica with the i20 R5 last time out in WRC2.

The Dutchman said “I am thankful to the team for giving us the chance to compete in Rally Spain next weekend.

“It will be our fourth outing in a WRC car this year after Portugal, Sardinia and Finland, and another good opportunity to develop. The mixed gravel and tarmac surface will be a fascinating challenge, one that I hope will allow us to showcase our combined experience to date.

“We’ve been keeping our rallying skills sharp thanks to a weekend of R5 action in Corsica, so I can’t wait to get started. We hope for a trouble-free run so we can achieve our aim of a points-scoring finish.”
