Home success the target for DMACK at Wales Rally GB

1 Mins read

DMACK World Rally Team are aiming for more success on the mud and gravel of the 2016 Dayinsure Wales Rally GB.

Estonia’s Ott Tänak will be looking for a better result in Flintshire after retiring from last year’s Wales Rally GB on the opening day.

Alongside Tänak, will be the Drive DMACK Trophy Team. The DMACK Trophy team boasts three winners of the Trophy since 2014.

Sander Pärn, Marius Aasen and Osian Pryce, the last three winners of the DDFT, will be competing in Flintshire in three Ford Fiesta R5’s in WRC2.

Tänak said “The Rally GB stages are great fun to drive and this year’s event will see us make quite a few new pace-notes as many stages are either new or reversed – and that’s always a challenge.

“We are back on gravel so the aim is like always – to go as fast as possible and be competitive like the other gravel rallies this year.”

DMACK Managing Director Dick Cormack added “Wales Rally GB always throws up a huge challenge but the lack of servicing and long competitive sections will make next week’s event even tougher.

“However, as we’ve seen already this season, our gravel products are extremely competitive so I’m sure we can expect more top times from Ott.”
