Supercars part of star-studded RallyFest at Cholmondeley Castle

Some of the world’s finest supercars will be on display at the family-friendly RallyFest.

More than 20 supercars will be on show at Cholmondeley Castle which includes five Ferrari’s, a pair of McLaren’s, as well as Audi, BMW, Lotus and Porsche to name but a few manufacturers on show.

There is also the opportunity for someone to have a 10-mile passenger ride in a supercar of their choosing.

The cars include a Ferrari California, Lamborghini Huracan, and an Ariel Atom to name but a few cars that one of the lucky people can race in.

Ben Taylor, Managing Director for Wales Rally GB said “As if having the World Rally Championship isn’t electrifying enough, those at Cholmondeley Castle will get to enjoy the full RallyFest experience.

“There’ll be this stunning parade of supercars as well as an equally fabulous line-up of classic rally cars.

“Then there’s Dream Rides and a host of other sideshows and attractions all set against the stunning backdrop of Cholmondeley Castle. It really is going to be a fantastic day out and a ‘must-see’ event for all car fans.”

The 2016 Cholmondeley Castle RallyFest in association with GreenThumb will take place on Saturday 29 October 2016.

The Checkered Flag will be bringing you extensive pre and post-event coverage, as well as all four days of the 2016 Wales Rally GB from the 27-30 October 2016.

Didier Auriol entering Rally Japan, first WRC start since 2005

1994 World Rally Champion Didier Auriol will run the 2024 season finale in Japan in a WRC2 Toyota GR Yaris. While the car is not homologated by the FIA and he thus won’t be included in the WRC results, it will be his first WRC race since the 2005 Monte Carlo Rally.

Kuldar Sikk recovering from broken spine at Central European Rally

Kuldar Sikk broke his spine and underwent emergency surgery after an accident while supporting Ott Tänak’s gravel crew during last Friday’s Central European Rally. It is unknown if he can heal up in time to be Benediktas Vanagas’ co-driver for the 2025 Dakar Rally.
