Konstantin Tereschenko has switched from the GP3 Series to race in the World Series Formula V8 3.5 championship in 2017 after joining Teo Martin Motorsport.
The Russian raced for Campos Racing in the GP3 Series last season, scoring points in the final two races of the season after moving to the championship on the back of a runners-up finish in the EuroFormula Open in 2015, and tested with Teo Martin Motorsport in the final V8 3.5 test of 2016.
“I’m glad to be in the World Series Formula V8 3.5 and the team Teo Martin Motorsport,” said Tereschenko. “I have big plans for this season.
“I understand that this is a difficult championship, there’s a lot of competition, but I aim to fight for top places in each race. The main objective is victory of the season.”
Tereschenko impressed the team with his continued improvement during the test, and had no qualms about promoting the twenty-two-year-old to their team for 2017.
“Konstantin did a great job in winter testing last year,” said Team Owner Teo Martin. “I was impressed with his fast adaptation to our car and he showed us that the potential is there.
“That’s why we think we can achieve the best results together so I’m really happy to welcome him to the team!”
