“This is the dream for me,” said Solberg. “We’ve been working on this for so long and to have finally landed it… well, words cannot say how happy I am. Apart from one word, there’s only one word for this car, my team, Johan and Volkswagen Sweden and that word is: unbelievable!”

“We have spent some time testing the Volkswagen Polo GTI Supercar and every time I step out of it, I do so with a big smile on my face. And then I just want to get back into it and drive some more. It’s a real monster, but it’s a beautiful monster made by those brilliant people in Hannover, Volkswagen Motorsport.”

Kristoffersson explins how he sees this season as the best chance to go for the Drivers Title an bring home the Gold to Sweden.

“I think it is,” said Kristoffersson, “really, it is that exciting. To be starting the season alongside Petter, PSRX and Volkswagen Sweden is perfect for me. What we have to do now is use that perfect start, make it into a perfect middle and a totally perfect finish!”

“We want the World RX teams’ championship this year and, of course, we want the drivers’ title. Petter has had two of those, so maybe it’s time for him to help me get one of my own!”

Now, with the car built and tested, we’re all looking forward to the first race in Barcelona. We all want to see how Petter, Johan and the Polo get on against a very strong field of competition in a very exciting championship.”
