Official tyre supplier of the FIA World Rallycross Championship Cooper Tire Europe has announced that it will be the title sponsor of the upcoming 2017 World RX of Hockenheim.

Since 2014 Cooper Tire Europe have provided tyres to the World RX field as the sole supplier.

The Cooper Tire Europe World RX of Hockenheim is scheduled to be the third championship round, at the Hockenheimring, from 5-7 May.

The additional sponsorship helps build the Cooper brand as a global tyre manufacturer in the German market as it builds on a sponsorship agreement with German Bundesliga team 1. FSV Mainz 05.

“World RX fits our brand philosophy ‘from the rough to the smooth’ perfectly. It’s a championship that continues to grow in every way and our newly agreed title sponsorship of the Hockenheim round demonstrates our commitment to both World RX and the promotion of our brand within Germany.” said Sarah McRoberts, Marketing Communications Manager for Cooper Tire Europe.

“We are extremely proud of our rallycross heritage and expertise. Our rallycross tyres are designed to provide the best product to respond to drivers’ needs across the range of surfaces, while being able to withstand the enormous loads applied when landing from huge jumps.”
