Pascal Wehrlein is looking forward to getting back into the C36-Ferrari for this weekend’s Azerbaijan Grand Prix, round eight of the 2017 Formula 1 season.

The Sauber F1 Team driver had a difficult weekend in Canada, with him failing to be competitive, as he finished two laps down at the rear of the field. With his qualifying cut short after a crash, he could then not keep up with the competition, with his crash being a blow to his competitiveness, as he could not improve and his struggles continued.

Despite these struggles, he is looking forward to getting back into the car at the Baku Street Circuit, with the layout of the track, the German believes top speed and traction will be the key factors for success.

“I am really looking forward to getting back into the car in Baku,” said Wehrlein.  “Last year′s race weekend in Azerbaijan was quite interesting for all of us, because it was the first time that a Formula 1 GP took place there.

“Finding the suitable car set-up for this track was a challenge to all of the teams. Due to the layout of the track, top speed and traction are the key factors for success.”
