At the time of of writing the Mercedes-AMG GT3 drivers currently hold positions fourth, ninth, twelfth, thirteenth, fourteenth, nineteenth, twenty-first, twenty-second, thirty-fourth, fortieth and forty-ninth.

Maxi Buhk in the #84 Mercedes-AMG Team HTP Motorsport car is the quickest of the eleven Mercedes-AMG GT3 cars and he is enjoying his experience so far,“The Mercedes-AMG GT3 is running very well, we haven’t had any problems so far.” said Buhk.

“There is a lot of traffic out there and it often is difficult to find a way around the Pro-AM cars quickly enough to avoid losing too much time in the battle for the positions up front.

“Now, we just have to wait how things work out and what the hours into the night will bring. But I reckon that we have a good chance to be in contention for a podium finish.”

Raffaele Marciello in the #90 AKKA ASP car sits a few places behind the #84 in ninth position, “I had a good double stint and some nice duels on track. I was able to make up some places and I was in P6 for a long time.

“The Mercedes-AMG GT3 handles very well and we had a good start. Now, I will relax a bit in order to being fit for another stint later on.” he added.

Maximilian Götz‘s #16 Black Falcon Mercedes-AMG GT3 is running well in the Pro AM class, “This really is fun, the Mercedes-AMG GT3 is driving greatly.

“For a while, we were the fastest Mercedes-AMG on track. At the end of my stint, we were a bit lucky as we were able to make a pit stop during a safety car intervention.

“After me, Oliver Morley took over the car, we made our way up into second place in the Pro AM class, so things are going really well so far.”
