Pasin Lathouras was lucky to walk away for a heavy accident in the #50 AF Corse Ferrari 488 GT3 at the top of Raidillon.
Two hours in to the race Lathouras was was caught up in the battle between the race leaders as they came around to lap him.
The Ferrari was forced to make a stop after receiving a orange and black flag as a piece of bodywork was loose on the roof of the yellow Ferrari; this issue lost the team valuable track time and placed the car in a prime position as the #63 GRT Grasser Racing Team Lamborghini Huracan GT3 and the #55 Kaspersky Motorsport Ferrari 488 GT3 fought their way through traffic.
Whilst we are unsure exactly what caused Lathouras to crash, the violent aftermath as the Ferrari was spread across the circuit at the top of Raidillon was clear to see.
Thankfully, despite the heavy impact which destroyed the Ferrari, Lathouras exited the car unaided and after checks at the medical centre it was announced he was ok.
