Team Peugeot-Hansen‘s young driver, Kevin Hansen, is ready to take part in next weekend’s FIA World Rallycross round eight in Trois-Rivières, Canada (5-6 August), alongside his more experienced team-mates, older brother Timmy Hansen and French rallying legend Sébastien Loeb.

On this year’s edition, Kevin will for the first time be racing on the Canadian racetrack at the wheel of a Supercar, hoping to capitalise on the knowledge he acquired in the past, when he used to race in the one-make RX Lites (now called the RX2 International Series) feeder category. He also hopes to contribute to his father and team boss Kenneth Hansen‘s expectations of a third win in a row for Peugeot-Hansen in Canada.

“This will be my first time out at Trois Rivières in a Supercar but I have previous experience of the track in the RX Lites class in 2015, says Kevin.

“This time, I will be driving the car that won here last year so I intend to make the mos tof its potential through the circuit’s more technical portions. I’m looking forward to competing in Canada again. It wasn’t on my programme in 2016 but I did some TV commentary work during the RX2 race.”

The first free practice session for the World RX of Canada is scheduled on Saturday, 5 August, at 09:15, followed by Q1 and Q2 on the same day at 14:00 and 16:30, respectively. The remainder of the qualifying, as well as the televised semi-finals and final, will take place on the following day.
