Dino Zamparelli fought hard to come out on top of qualifying as Porsche Carrera Cup GB hit Silverstone for rounds thirteen and fourteen.

The Redline Racing driver fought off championship rival Tio Ellinas and 17-year-old Porsche GB 2018 / 2019 Junior, Dan Harper as they finished just 0.060s of each other.

Harper made an early bid for pole position as he traded times with Zamparelli in the opening half of the qualifying session, Lewis Plato followed in a close third place.

The second half of the session saw Tom Wrigley and Ellinas move up the order, and with three minutes remaining Zamparelli moved 0.039s clear of Ellinas to take his fifth Carrera Cup GB pole position.

The Pro-Am class was just as close as Jamie Orton, Esmee Hawkey, Seb Perez and Dan Welch fought for top honours. As the chequered flag fell it was Welch that came out victorious ahead of Orton and Perez, with the three drivers lapping within 0.031 seconds of each other.

Peter Kyle-Henney took pole position in the Am championship as he hopes to go one better than previous years and beat Peter Mangion to the title. Luckily for Kyle-Henney he managed to qualify ahead of Pro-Am driver Justin Sherwood, putting a car between himself and Mangion. David Shaw secured third but will not be eligible for championship points as he is a guest entrant.
