The BRDC British F3 Championship has announced their 2019 calendar, with the series again supporting the British GT Championship. Like their co-headliner, they have added a second round at Donington Park in replacement of the outgoing Rockingham Motor Speedway.
Like this year, F3 will have eight rounds, with the stand alone event at Silverstone being moved backed to August so that the final can take place at Donington, the same time as the rest of the British GT supports.
Other than this, the order remains relatively static, with the season again starting on the Easter Weekend at Oulton Park. Due to the moving of the holiday, it now takes place three weeks later on 20th and 22nd April.
The Snetterton round has been moved back a week to reduce the gap between events, with the first Silverstone GP event remaining on the 8-9 June. They will then follow GT’s to Donington Park on 22-23 June before a month gap.
Spa-Francorchamps remains on the calendar on 20-21 July, with the traditional trip to Brands Hatch GP two weeks later. In order to reduce the gap to the final two rounds, the second Silverstone round will take place on 17-18 August away from the GT, returning to the package for the #DoningtonDecider on 14-15 September.
“We’re pleased to announce our calendar for 2019, which again features some of the best circuits in Europe and maintains our successful partnership with SRO and the British GT Championship.” said MSV‘s Jonathan Palmer.
“As a proven and dependable series offering superb value for money and unrivalled technical equality, we expect the BRDC British F3 Championship to be extremely strong in 2019. Teams are reporting very high interest levels from drivers and many have already started their winter testing programmes.”
