Charles Leclerc heads in to his penultimate Grand Prix for the Alfa Romeo Sauber F1 Team in a confident mood as the FIA Formula 1 World Championship heads to Brazil.

Leclerc and team-mate Marcus Ericsson secured their first double points finish since the Austrian Grand Prix last time out in Mexico.

“We are heading to Brazil for one of the last two races of the season.” said Leclerc. “After a great result with both cars scoring points in Mexico, we are confident of our potential and will build on the progress we have made so far.”

Sauber are eighth in the Constructors’ Championship, three points ahead of Red Bull Toro Rosso and eleven points off of Racing Point Force India in the battle for mid-field.

“We will fight to have another strong result at Interlagos, and give our all to end the season on a positive note. It is an interesting circuit to drive, and I look forward to racing there.”
