Lance Stroll to drive for Force India in Abu Dhabi post-season test

Lance Stroll has been confirmed to drive for the Racing Point Force India F1 Team in next week’s Pirelli Motorsport test in Abu Dhabi.

Stroll is expected and has been since the Belgium Grand Prix 2018, to move to Force India for the FIA 2019 Formula One season, after his father Lawerence Stroll purchased the team with a consortium of investors back in August, after Sahara Force India went into administration in July.

Stroll has been at Williams Martini Racing since 2017, and scored a podium with them back in the Azerbaijan Grand Prix 2017.

Stroll will be driving the VJM11 in the afternoon on Tuesday, 27 November, at the Yas Marina Circuit, as Sergio Pérez shall take the car in the morning. Then, Stroll will take a full day of running on Wednesday, 28 November.

Force India are yet to confirm whether Stroll will partner, confirmed Sergio Perez next season. However, he is expected to be announced soon.
