Williams Martini Racing Confirm their Abu Dhabi Tyre Test Line Up

Williams Martini Racing have announced that George Russell and Robert Kubica will part take in the Abu Dhabi tyre test on Tuesday 26 November and Wednesday 27 November.

The test which takes place for Pirelli every year in Abu Dhabi at the Yas Marina Circuit, will see the driver of choice for each team test the 2019 candidate tyres on behalf of Pirelli.

Most teams will run their 2019 FIA Formula 1 World championship drivers, such as McLaren running Lando Norris and Carlos Sainz Jr., it will also see Williams Martini Racing take their newly announced pairing take part.

It will see George Russell get his first Formula 1 drive as a Williams driver, experiencing the FW41 for the first time, sharing driving responsibilities with Kubica.

Russell will be in the car the on morning of day one and then again on the afternoon of day two, while Kubica will take on the two other sessions.

Neither Sergey Sirotkin or Lance Stroll will take part with in the test with Williams, however, it is possible Stroll could test for his father’s team Racing Point Force India.
