Absolute Racing head in to the 2019 Blancpain GT World Challenge Asia in a strong position after announcing a partnership with Porsche Motorsport Asia Pacific to run two 2019 specification Porsche 911 GT3 R’s.
The team have seen success in a number of series since its formation in 2009 including two podium finishes in the Macau Grand Prix’s Macau GT Cup race and three Porsche Carrera Cup Asia titles and more than 40 wins.
Porsche Carrera Cup Asia Class B champion Yuan Bo will line up alongside a yet to be announced Porsche factory driver while the drivers for the second car are yet to be confirmed.
“When evaluating our options for 2019 we thought it was a good opportunity to pursue a new challenge and reinforce our presence in the Asia’s leading GT series.” said Fabien Fior, Team Director of Absolute Racing.
“Our relationship with Porsche dates from day one of Absolute Racing. We’re creating a program around our loyal customers and Porsche factory drivers and this is a unique opportunity and great platform.
