AlphaTauri Reveal new AT01 car ahead of Shakedown

Scuderia AlphaTauri is the latest team to unveil their 2020 car, the AT01, for the 2020 FIA Formula 1 Championship ahead of testing next week, at Red Bull’s Hanger 7 facility in Salzburg, where the headquarters of the brand is located.

The Red Bull junior team rebrand for the news season as they switch from Toro Rosso to AlphaTauri, the in-house fashion brand for Red Bull, which is based in Salzburg and was created back in 2016.

It is the first name change for any of the Red Bull teams since taking over from Minardi in 2006.

The launch, started with a fashion show, showcasing the brands clothing and team wear for the season.

The reveal of the AT01 allowed fans to get a glimpse of the new livery that showcases the re-brand of the team.

The new livery revealed a blue and white theme among the car, with the engine supplier Honda, being highlighted in red on the car.

One thing that stays the same for the team is the driver lineup as Daniil Kvyat and Pierre Gasly start the season. They will both be hoping to build on the 2019 FIA Formula 1 Championship that saw the pair both take podiums; Gasly, at the 2019 Formula 1 Brazilian Grand Prix, and Kvyat at the 2019 Formula 1 German Grand Prix.

The drivers will get their first chance in the AT01, as the team will shakedown the car at the Misano World Circuit, in Italy, tomorrow. This is ahead of testing which will commence, at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya on the 19 February.
