The All-Star ‘Magic Weekend’ which is set to take place on 2-5 June at Höljes, Sweden this summer promises some high caliber drivers, with the latest to be confirmed as FIA World Rallycross Championship driver and son of the former FIA World Rally Champion Marcus Grönholm.
The 24-year-old Niclas Grönholm from Finland will be entering in his GRX Taneco Team run Hyundai i20 which he proved last season in World RX was a car to beat.
Niclas won two of the rounds last season in the World RX and also placed himself fourth in the championship, despite having to be away for two rounds due to an appendicitis operation. He came back to World RX of Norway and on his comeback took his maiden World RX win after steward decision to strip Anton Marklund of his victory due to a technical infringement after the race.

Niclas is now looking forward to be back in his Hyundai i20; “It’s going to be awesome to finally get back to racing and rallycross!”
“It’s been a long break for the sports world, and way too much time out of the Hyundai for me personally, but that’s behind us and now I’m very much looking forward to getting out on the track and facing many of my racing friends again.“
“I expect the competition to be very tough at Höljes, so it will be a great chance for us to get ready for the upcoming World RX season, shake off the ‘rust’ and test our updated car.”
Niclas is one of the many highlights to be entering the All-Star ‘Magic Weekend’. The official entry lists for RallyX Nordic and the other classes will be published soon.
