Craig Breen is set to enter September’s Rally Estonia for Hyundai alongside regular drivers Thierry Neuville and Ott Tänak.

Estonia, scheduled to be the first WRC event since the COVID-19 pandemic, looks set to replace Rally Finland in Breen’s 2020 plans after the event was cancelled last month following the coronavirus crisis as revealed by Dirtfish.

Estonia will be Breen’s second appearance in the championship in 2020, after competing on Rally Sweden back in February for the team.

“The team knows my feelings on this, I’ll take any opportunity I can to get into the car. We’re working flat-out and doing all we can to make sure we’re back in a seat full-time as soon as possible.” Breen told DirtFish.

Breen’s first appearance for the team also came in Estonia last year, when it was used as a promotional event by the FIA World Rally Championship.

Hyundai team manager Andrea Adamo has often shared the third car in the team among a range of drivers over the last few years, with Breen, Dani Sordo and nine-time champion Sébastien Loeb all regularly competing for the Korean manufacturer.
