Takamoto Katsuta will drive a Toyota Yaris WRC on the Kokkola 400 Juhlaralli in his first rally since the COVID-19 pandemic.

Toyota development driver Katusta will enter the Kokkola based event, set to take place on August 1, with the idea of getting used to the feeling of a WRC car again following the shutdown of the championship during the coronavirus crisis.

The Japanese driver has contested two of the three rounds of the WRC so far this year for Toyota, with his seventh place finish on the opening round of the year in Monte Carlo his highest finishing position so far.

Katsuta had originally planned a eight round program in the 2020 WRC before the COVID-19 pandemic that stopped the season in March.

The 2020 FIA World Rally Championship is set to get back underway at the start of September with Rally Estonia, which makes its debut following a promotional event last year ran by the championship.
