Gus Greensmith was happy to see his stages times improve throughout Rally Estonia last weekend as he continued his trainsitiion to competing at rallyings highest level.
Greensmith, again driving the third M-Sport Ford Fiesta WRC, had a trouble free event and eventually finished eighth overall as he used rally to gain experience and look to improve the setup of the car.
He said after the end of the final stage on Sunday afternoon: “We knew it wasn’t going to be an easy weekend as we didn’t have the same experience or preparation as some of the other guys.”
“But we were able to make some improvements throughout the weekend and the times got better the more kilometres we did. Also a big thanks to everyone at M‑Sport. They’ve been working really hard, and it was a big effort from everyone here and back in Cumbria.”
The young British driver has now competed in a total of seven events in the Fiesta WRC, after making his debut in the championship on Rally Portugal last year.
