Pierre-Louis Loubet will be going for a full FIA World Rally Championship season with M-Sport Ford WRT in 2023, today M-Sport Ford WRT announces that a contract for the coming season has been signed, which means that the Frenchman will drive all 13 rallies starting with Rallye Monte-Carlo in mid-January.

The 25-year-old Frenchman, backed by Red Bull and the French Motorsport Federation, has competed for the team in 2022 with fine results and a rising pace throughout the first season with the British outfit. A couple of retirements but also a couple of strengthening fourth places among the results showing that he has got what it takes.

Co-driver will be the Belgian Nicolas Gilsoul with extensive WRC experience and since the friend and former co-driver, Vincent Landais left to compete with Sebastien Ogier in 2023 he had to get a new co-driver. A teammate with the Frenchman in M-Sport will be Ott Tänak, who also drives a full season for the British team while the driver for the third Ford Puma Rally1 is still unknown.

“It’s a dream come true for me, something that I have been dreaming about since I was a kid, to do my first full season, and to do the main passion in my life every weekend is something truly fantastic.” Loubet said.

“The full season takes off a lot of pressure because I know that I have 13 events to give me a chance to show all my potential, and gives me the space to grow and learn. In 2023, my most important goal will be to finish every event, to gain experience and learn to know where I can push and go for maximum speed. “

“To be an official driver and scoring manufacturer points for M-Sport is something I have always wanted, I am so pleased that M-Sport is believing in me like this. I’m so pleased to be working with M-Sport again, and to work alongside Ott as team-mates is something very special,”
