Fabrizio Crestani has been announced as the first driver for the new Venezuela GP Lazarus team in GP2. The 24-year-old Italian raced for Tancredi Pagiaro’s Lazarus team in Auto GP last year, finishing sixth overall with four podium finishes and a pole position.
The GP2 Series will have a new entrant this year – in the form of Venezuela GP Lazarus. The Italian-based team takes the place of category stalwarts Super Nova Racing, who were reported to have closed after hitting serious financial troubles.
