As day turns to night at Sebring, the battles for honours in all three classes is intense, with Mazda Team Joest leading overall thanks to its pit stop cycle.
Pipo Derani and the #22 ESM Tequila Patron Nissan dominated hours 4-6 of the Sebring 12 Hours as the race reached its half-way point. A rash of caution periods in the fifth hour bunched the field up but Derani was able to build a sizeable lead until a caution at the end of the sixth hour.
