Archie Hamilton has revealed that he may be set for a season in touring cars next year as a result of a strong showing in the Britcar 24 Hour race which saw him at the wheel of a SEAT Supercopa.
Hamilton has raced for most of the season in the Porsche Carrera Cup GB with some strong results and made his GT debut the week before the Britcar endurance race at Silverstone.
With a sterling effort and an unusual front wheel drive vehicle Hamilton helped the Welch Motorsport team to tenth place.
Leading on from this performance Hamilton has revealed in his latest blog for theCheckeredFlag.co.uk that he will be taking part in a touring car test in Barcelona on 26/27 October.
“If this goes well you never know this could lead to many things for 2011, probably British Touring Cars and Sportscar racing” admits the 19-year-old, but he know’s not to rest on his laurels as he comments “But everything is up in the air at the moment.
