Menasheh Idafar continued his busy schedule of winter testing, travelling to Monza for another day behind the wheel of a 2010-specification Formula Three car.
Having already tested the Dallara-Volkswagen with the T-Sport team at Rockingham and Silverstone in the UK, Idafar took the opportunity to test at the famous Italian venue, which is also schedule to host the first round of next year's British Formula Three International Series.
The day was dominated by heavy rain, which caused several stoppages, but Idafar – driving for the same team than ran to the National Class title this season – was still able to complete set-up work on the 3.6 mile track.
“Monza is such a great track, it was fantastic to experience it for the first time,” said Menasheh, “I really enjoyed the test. The heavy rain almost led to the day being cancelled and there were loads of red flags in the morning, but we got some consistent running in later on.”
“The car felt great, we've definitely made good progress with it over the last few tests. I love the track, especially parts like the Ascari Chicane which is really nice. Overall it was a really good day, I had a great time.”
Idafar is still to confirm his racing plans for 2011, but plans to step up to the British F3 International Class. In an effort to gain as much experience as possible in the newer car the testing programme continues at Silverstone on October 29.
