James Nash Joins BTCC Veteran For Dubai 24

1 Mins read

BTCC drivers James Nash and James Kaye are to team up for January's Dunlop 24 Hours of Dubai.

Nash contested all but the opening round the 2010 British Touring Car Championship for Triple Eight Race Engineering, while Kaye – a veteran of the series, entered the final two rounds with a Honda Integra with support from his own WRC Developments team. It is this Integra that will race a Dubai on January 13-14.

“I'm thrilled that this deal has come off and in particular I would like to thank Triple Eight's Sales Director Kevin Connor who put it all together,” Nash says. “It's like Christmas come early for me and I can't wait to get behind the wheel again. It'll be the first time that I will have raced at night and also the first time for me in an endurance race so having James Kaye's experience to call upon will be a great help.”

“The entry list is amazing and ranges from Porsche 911's and Ferrari 430's that race at Le Mans to Renault Clio's and even diesel fuelled BMW 120's. Speed differentials should be interesting and track action lively given that there will be 90 cars competing.”
