Motorsport Vision Racing Launch MSV F3 Cup

1 Mins read

Motorsport Vision Racing (MSVR) have announced the launch of the MSV F3 Cup, a new championship for older F3 chassis with an F2 test drive on offer for the season's best driver.

The new category will be open to F3 cars built between 1980 and 2005 with a seven event calendar taking in tracks around the UK. Each weekend will consist of a single 25 minute qualifying session for a pair of 20 minute races.

A highlight of the calendar will be the honour of being part of the first event to race on the new Snetterton 300 track after the Norfolk venue's winter overhaul.

“I'm thrilled at the prospect of MSVR organising the MSV F3 Cup in 2011 and beyond,” said David Scott, MSVR Race Operations Director. “Catering for Formula 3 cars constructed before 2005, the series will provide competitors with an excellent racing experience, and the Formula Two test drive prize provides a significant draw. With promotional support from MotorSport Vision coupled with a superb race calendar, I'm confident that there is a very bright future for this exciting new series.”

A panel of judges – appointed by MSVR – will select the driver from the championship who will win the Formula Two test drive.

May 21-22 TBC
July 2 Oulton Park International
July 16-17 Brands Hatch Indy
August 20-21 Brands Hatch GP
