Chevrolet is to increase its presence on and off the track at Grand-Am events, today announcing they have become an official partner of the series for 2011.
Chevrolet currently has three teams in Rolex Series Grand-Am field, spanning both the Daytona Prototype and GT classes, and while the championship begins this weekend with the Rolex 24 at Daytona Chevrolet's visibility will increase during the season.
The manufacturer will supply the official pace car for the rounds at Elkhart Lake and the six hour event and Watkins Glen in August and will bring a full range of its cars and trucks to races as part of the Team Chevy Racing Display.
The company will also offer a program to support the Chevrolet teams in both the Rolex Series and the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge, where Chevrolet currently have five representatives.
