Brazilian driver, Pietro Fantin has been offered a full-time race seat at HiTech Racing after several impressive performances during the 2010 British Formula 3 championship.
Last year the 19-year old only took part in 3 of the championship’s 10 rounds, but turned enough heads to warrant a more secure drive with the Buckingham-based team.
“I am very excited to move to the UK and compete in the British Formula 3 Championship,” Fantin said. “It is a route that many Brazilian drivers have chosen and there have been some great names in the championship over the years.
“Hopefully, I too can do well, it really is the best place to learn and develop as a driver. I am aware that I have one of the best seats on the grid and I cannot wait to start driving. I know how much the team has worked on the car from set-up to aero and now I want to add to what they have been doing in the workshop, out on the track.”
Ryan Sharp, team principal added: “We are delighted to have Pietro back in the car in 2011 especially after his stunning debut last season. We really hope to build on that and I am sure he will continue to shock as he did then. It is very exciting for the team and we are really looking forward to the season ahead with Pietro.”
