Coronel On Top In Second Test At Curitiba

Tom Coronel went fastest in the second test session ahead of the WTCC Race of Brazil at Curitiba. The ROAL Motorsport driver's quickest lap time from the 30 minute session was a blistering six tenths quicker than the next best time of Chevrolet's Rob Huff.

Yvan Muller was third quickest for Chevrolet, with Fredy Barth the quickest of the SEAT drivers in fourth, the Swiss driver also the quickest Independent. After sitting out the morning shakedown test, Gabriele Tarquini was fifth quickest for SUNRED, with local star Caca Bueno sixth in another of the factory Chevrolets.

Kristian Poulsen and Franz Engstler were seventh and eighth in their Team Engstler BMWs. Robert Dahlgren was ninth in the Polestar Volvo, with morning pacesetter Tiago Monteiro rounding out the top ten.

Aleksei Dudukalo did not take part in the session after his heavy crash in the morning session, while Javier Villa has yet to set a time this weekend in his Proteam BMW due to mechanical issues.
