Gilham Offers Unique Chance To Win a Touring Car

1 Mins read

Tony Gilham and Triple Eight Racing with Collins Contractors have announced a brand new membership competition, where the main prize is the 2011 NGTC Powered Vauxhall Vectra he will use in this year's Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship.

The new 'Tony Gilham Fanzone' scheme gives fans who join the exclusive club a once in a lifetime opportunity to own an actual BTCC race car, as well as the chance to win a variety of other prizes over the course of the season, including VIP race weekend hospitality and the chance to work with the team for a day.

The fanzone costs £20 to enter and as well as entry to all the competitions, members will be offered discounts and offers from Gilham's sponsors and partners this season.

Dartford-based Gilham commented: “I’m excited by the new membership scheme we have setup. The BTCC fans have been extremely welcoming and I’ve received a lot of nice messages through tonygilham.com and also via Twitter and Facebook.

“Throughout my time in the Porsche Carrera Cup, we have always strived to be different. We were one of the first teams to run charity based race days and we are extremely proud of our Corporate Social Responsibility programme and support to charities.

“We believe this new membership scheme will give something back to the fans and I’m really looking forward to handing across the car to the lucky winner at the end of the season!”

He was speaking just after he had enjoyed his first run in the Vauxhall Vectra he will use in this year's championship. Speaking about the season ahead, he added: “Words can’t describe how I am feeling at the moment. It’s great to be here in the BTCC and I'm certainly not here to just make up the numbers.

“I do want to compete and while I know it's going to be difficult, it would be nice to get on the Independents podium and be challenging. Triple Eight are a big team with history and that is what attracted me to them. It's a massive year and a chance for me to show what I can do in a competitive car.”
