Rivett Confirms Clio Cup Title Push

1 Mins read

Paul Rivett has confirmed his full time return to the Air Asia X Renault Clio Cup with Stancombe Vehicle Engineering. He will be joined in the team by Matthew Munson, whose company Lumison BlueSquare Data Group will be the team's main backer once again.

Rivett is a Clio Cup veteran, first racing in the category in 2001 and picking up 30 series wins since, on his way to winning the 2002 and 2004 championships. He took part in eight races in the 2010 championship, picking up two wins and four second place finishes on his way to a top ten championship finish.

Munson is preparing for his second season in car racing and is set to compete in selected meetings depending on business commitments. Last season saw him compete at eight of the ten meetings, picking up three top ten finishes.

Stancombe Vehicle Engineering team boss Colin Stancombe commented: “This is such good news.  Paul's ability is outstanding, as shown in the end of season races when we got three new lap records, wins and podiums, and Matthew's season-long improvement was a joy to watch.  I can't wait to help them and the newly formed Lumison BlueSquare Data Group again this year.”
