Herbert Switches To Mercedes For Second Year In Superstars

1 Mins read

Johnny Herbert will race in the International Superstars Series for a second consecutive season, after making a switch to Mercedes.

The former Formula 1 Grand Prix winner raced in the Italian-based touring car series for the first time in 2010, driving a Chevrolet Lumina for the Motorzone team.

For 2011 though he will move to the Romeo Ferraris outfit, racing one of their Mercedes C63 AMGs. The news was announced at the official season launch held in Milan on Wednesday, ahead of the opening rounds at Monza this weekend.

Herbert will lead a four-car team made up of former series champion Max Pigoli, female racer Michela Cerruti and rookie Andrea Dromedari, who graduates from the Superstars GT Sprint.
