1 Mins read

Special Tuning Racing have confirmed they are “fully committed” to the British Touring Car Championship after reports suggested the squad would leave the series after the current season.

“The BTCC remains our priority,” said team principal John Boardman. “Over the course of this season we've proved that we've got two fast and reliable cars. We are achieving consistent results and are moving higher up in the championship standings and we look forward to improving on this again next year.”

The team currently run both Tom Boardman and Dave Newsham in the British series, Boardman taking his first win the series in controversial style last weekend at Knockhill.

The Lancashire based team currently have a stable of four SEATs, one of which is race prepared to WTCC specification. The team confirmed they are looking into the “viability” of running this car alongside their BTCC campaign.
