TEAM WOOD RACING
No.43 Lea Wood
Vauxhall Vectra
Loyal to the old BTC-spec Honda Integra until the very end, the car has held back Wood for showing what may be his true potential.
His 2011 season was dominated by his exploits at Oulton Park – his first race meeting of the season after skipping the first month of the season. With a damp track levelling the playing field between old and new cars, turbocharged and normally aspirated Wood finished seventh – perhaps a true indication of his standing in the BTCC.
With a new sponsor – Binz – on board and a new car in the ex-Andrew Jordan Vauxhall Vectra Wood starts this season in better shape than ever for the new season and is another one of the drivers who could take advantage of any early season stutters the NGTC newboys.
Lea Wood on….the Vectra
“The Vectra is a lot smoother and driver friendly. The Integra was a great guy to learn in like everyone has but the Vectra is fantastic, hopefully should be good. They've obviously developed it well last year so we're going to take it on and tweek it on to suit my driving style.”
