TONY GILHAM RACING
No.34 Tony Gilham
Honda Civic
After jumping from Triple Eight to Geoff Steel during the season as budget problems hit the Carrera Cup convert, a move into his own team should at least bring some crucial stability for Gilham in 2012.
Stability, too, is the watch word for the car he's picked up to his assault. In the car Gordon Shedden drove to second in the championship (Neal's title winning car is now plying its trade in Scandinavia) Gilham has a proven car, developed to title winning standard.
As with Redstone Racing and Team ES Racing Gilham may have to rely on the early part of the season for his best results, as the newer packages are developed, and drivers and teams learn more about their new machines.
Tony Gilham on…..going it alone
“It's very different from last year, but not too alien to us as we did run our own team in the Carrera Cup for a couple of years. We're looking to build something for the future, we've got a couple of new sponsors in Right Choice Insurance Brokers and HARD. so we're hoping to put on a show this year. Ideally we'd have a teammate but maybe that will come later in the year or next year but for now we just want to do the best job we can and prove we do warrant our place on the grid.”
