My second year in the Porsche Carrera Cup GB has finally arrived and I cannot wait to get going! I remember thinking after our end of season party towards the end of last year that all I wanted to do was jump straight back in the car and get 2012 started.
Despite all the waiting, the Brands Hatch event is here and I am now sitting in my hotel room on the eve of a new season eager to get it underway. I am also looking forward to keeping the readers of Checkered Flag posted throughout the year, so I hope you enjoy my blog!
Pre-season testing has gone very well and I feel much more comfortable having had a solid winter of running under my belt. We seemed to have been on the pace whenever we have run alongside our rivals, which is a good sign at least.
The 2012 field will be as competitive as last year for sure – there are some of the front-runners still here from last season and some top racers from other series have also joined us.
I will certainly need to up my game and my hunger for victory is greater than ever. Hopefully that maiden win can come at Brands Hatch this weekend or maybe even two wins!
